My name is Brecca R. Carter, and I am a Girl mom, wife, daughter, pilot, friend, airport & government affairs professional, active community leader and foodie.  I’m excited to offer support and guidance to young girls and young women alike!

Vanitra Bonner , a wife and mother of 2. She is a graduate from Alabama A&M University with a Bachelors degree in Biology. Vanitra also has a Masters in Public Management.  Vanitra spent many years as a project manager at the University of South Alabama directing a group of young scholars with interests in Math and Science.  Vanitra thrives as a creative spirit and excels in many artistic abilities such as music , art , and aesthetics. She now owns and operates one of Atlanta's best kept secrets , Tra’Vani Scalp & Head Spa. Vanitra is an educator and mentor to many and hopes to inspire and be an example for other young adults who aspire to pursue entrepreneurship.  She is dedicated to giving back and hopes to influence generations to come in a positive way that not only impacts culture but shifts the narratives and stereotypes in African American communities.

I have been committed to education for the past 20 years, I've served in several capacities such as para educator within special education, science teacher, coach, instructional coach, assistant principal and principal; all of which have fueled my ability to remain innovative and intuitive.  I currently serves as the principal of a revolutionary charter school in Birmingham, Alabama, I'm also the co-Founder of Paramount Consulting Team, LLC, My favorite roles are serving as wife and

Shavonne Floyd is a passionate and purpose-driven educational leader with over 15 years of experience in teaching, coaching, and school leadership. She currently serves on the Admissions team at Mount Vernon School in Atlanta, where she supports families through the enrollment process and ensures students are placed in environments where they can thrive both academically

and emotionally. 

Beyond her professional role, Shavonne is deeply committed to community impact. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., through the East Point College Park Alumnae Chapter, where she supports initiatives rooted in sisterhood, service, and social action. She also continues to serve the Tuskegee University Alumni Association, staying engaged with her Alma mater through mentoring and outreach. 

As the founder of the Uplift Leadership Program, a mentorship initiative for middle and high school girls, Shavonne has created safe spaces for young women to grow in leadership, self-awareness, and purpose. Her work reflects a deep belief that education-rooted in equity and empowerment a tool for liberation and lasting change. 

Shavonne is honored to serve on the board of Girls Empowering Gurlz and looks forward to continuing her work of raising up the next generation of bold, brilliant, and brave young women.

​I’m Sekiah Bailey. I was born and raised in S. Jersey. I moved to Atlanta in Spring 2022 after ending my military career. In 2020 I graduated from the University of Maryland Global Campus with a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management. I’ve always had a passion for mentoring. I’ve served in a variety of mentoring roles since I was in high school. So, once I moved to Atlanta, finding a mentorship role was high on my priority list. A few years ago, I came across this quote and fell in love with it, “I have endured, I have been broken, I have known hardship, I have lost myself. But here I stand, still moving forward, growing stronger each day. I will never forget the harsh lessons in my life. They made me stronger” Unknown

I became a mentor because I believe in the power of guidance and support in personal and professional growth. Throughout my own journey, I have experienced the positive impact that a mentor can have, offering invaluable insights, encouragement, and a fresh perspective. I feel a strong desire to give back by sharing my knowledge and experiences with others, helping them navigate challenges and realize their potential. Mentorship not allows me to contribute to someone else's success but also enriches my own understanding and skills.
