Girl Power Quote
"We must lift up humanity by lifting up our girls first. It is then we have risen as a society"
My name is Aisha Anfield, I'm an educator of 10 years with the love and passion of helping all children in particular mentoring girls. I started my career in the field of project management with a BS in Biology as well as Masters in Public Administration. I was introduced at a young age to helping children from the woman who has always inspired me, my mom. She was an educator as well but most importantly poured everything she had into children. This inspired me tremendously. I later chose a career in Education when relocating to Atlanta Ga. My students showed a great interest in being mentored and that was the start of Girls Empowering Gurlz being born. I knew there was a great need when I had a room full of girls who chose my mentoring club over so many other great clubs. This is when I knew a Non profit was needed to allow girls from all over atlanta to join if desired.
Our girls are the foundations of society so we must build her strong, uplift her and teach her to love herself as well as her sister. When you accomplish this you have the greatest love of all. Together we are stronger, we are confident and we are uplifted.

Mentor
Sekiah Bailey
I’m Sekiah Bailey. I was born and raised in S. Jersey. I moved to Atlanta in Spring 2022 after ending my military career. In 2020 I graduated from the University of Maryland Global Campus with a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management. I’ve always had a passion for mentoring. I’ve served in a variety of mentoring roles since I was in high school. So, once I moved to Atlanta, finding a mentorship role was high on my priority list. A few years ago, I came across this quote and fell in love with it, “I have endured, I have been broken, I have known hardship, I have lost myself. But here I stand, still moving forward, growing stronger each day. I will never forget the harsh lessons in my life. They made me stronger” Unknown

Mentor
Leilani Bridges
I became a mentor because I believe in the power of guidance and support in personal and professional growth. Throughout my own journey, I have experienced the positive impact that a mentor can have, offering invaluable insights, encouragement, and a fresh perspective. I feel a strong desire to give back by sharing my knowledge and experiences with others, helping them navigate challenges and realize their potential. Mentorship not allows me to contribute to someone else's success but also enriches my own understanding and skills.
